Raajeev V Bhalla is an Indian composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist with over 19 years of experience working across music, advertising and the screen. His practice moves fluidly between composition, production, sound design and live performance, bringing together acoustic instruments, electronic music and a distinctly global musical sensibility. Over the course of his career, Raajeev has composed and produced for leading brands and collaborated with some of India’s most celebrated artists, including Arijit Singh, Lucky Ali, Mohit Chauhan, Usha Uthup, Badshah, Kailash Kher and Rekha Bhardwaj. His work spans brand anthems, advertising campaigns, original songs and screen projects, including feature films and digital content. A multi-instrumentalist at heart, Raajeev works with an eclectic palette of instruments—from guitar, oud, sitar, rabab, mandolin and bouzouki to tabla, percussion, synthesizers and electronic instruments. His musical foundation is rooted in both Western and Indian musical traditions. He studied Western classical music theory and practical classical guitar through Trinity College London, while also pursuing Indian classical music through the study of sitar and tabla, continually exploring the relationship between rhythm, melody, harmony and improvisation across different musical traditions. His approach is rooted in curiosity, exploring the space between organic sound and electronic production, traditional musical languages and contemporary sonic expression. This continuous process of learning has become central to his identity as an artist, allowing different musical disciplines and cultures to inform one another. His international musical journey has played an important role in this evolution. He travelled to Spain to study flamenco guitar and its rhythmic traditions, including learning in Córdoba with Maestro Paco Serrano, deepening his understanding of a musical culture rooted in rhythm, improvisation and expression. He has also continued to develop his production and mixing practice through workshops and masterclasses with internationally acclaimed producers and engineers including Manny Marroquin, Illangelo, Ben Baptiste and Bainz in France. Beyond recorded music, Raajeev is a live electronic performer and visual artist. His multidisciplinary practice culminates in immersive experiences such as Paint with Sound, where live music, visual art and collective creativity intersect. His work explores how sound and image can create spaces for connection, presence and personal expression. In parallel, Raajeev has developed a practice in creative wellbeing and became a Certified Art Life Coach, creating experiences and workshops that use music and art as tools for creativity, reflection and reconnection. Today, Raajeev is building an increasingly international creative practice across film, original music, sound, live performance and multidisciplinary art, collaborating across cultures and disciplines. His work is guided by a simple philosophy: stay curious, remain authentic, and keep exploring what happens when different worlds of sound and art meet.
